Radka Atanasova from the Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv at HVSS in Wloclawek PDF Print E-mail

In April Radka Atanasova from the Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv was a guest at Higher Vocational State School in Wloclawek. During her stay she delivered lectures for students from Russian Philology. She is interested in contemporary Russian Literature since some her lectures concerned contemporary Russian writer - Ludmila Unicka whose literary work was translated into 25 foreign languages. She also delivered some lectures concerned Dostojewski's composition. She is also interested in Poland, its literature and language. As a student of Russian Philology at the University of Shumen she learned Polish language. She took part in many Polish language courses at the University of Warsaw. She appreciated Polish hospitality and students' maturity.

The authorities of Higher Vocational State School in Wloclawek signed five new bilateral agreements with international universities within the framework of LLP Erasmus. The cooperation concerns exchange of students, teachers and academic staff with the following institutions: Obchodni Akademie a Wyssi Odborna Skola - Valasske Mezirici, Czech Republic, ISG - Instituto Superior de Gestao – Lisbon, Portugal, IT University of Copenhagen – Copenhagen, w Denmark, Haute Ecole Robert Schuman – Arslon, Belgium and Universidad de La Laguna - La Laguna, Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain. For the first time Higher Vocational State School in Wloclawek includes international partners for the new fields of study like: pedagogy or information technology. Currently Higher Vocational State School in Wloclawek cooperates with 22 international universities.

Between 17th and 22nd March 2010 Milena Katsarska – a head of English Philology Department in The Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv was a guest in Higher Vocational State School in Wloclawek. Milena Katsarska arrived in Wloclawek in the framework of teachers’ exchange in LLP Erasmus and she delivered lectures for our students from English Philology. She is a specliast of American Studies, esecially American literature, culture and movies. Apart from didactic activities our guest had the opportunity to meet staff from English Language Department in order to exchange experience, methods and techniques of English language teaching. Milena Katsarska also visited many historical and cultural places in Włocławek and Toruń, especially she was interested in museums and exhibitions. Higher Vocational State School in Wloclawek has been cooperating with The Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv for a few years and each year both institutions exchange many students and academic teachers.

In February the Department of German and Russian Philology of Higher Vocational State School in Wloclawek had a guest from Kafkas University – dr Bahar Gunes. She was a visitor within the framework of teachers’ mobility in LLP Erasmus. Dr Bahar Gunes comes from Russia, but she has been living in Turkey for about twenty years. She teaches Russian at Kafkas University. She delivered some lectures for students from Russian Philology of Higher Vocational State School in Wloclawek. Moreover, she had a few meetings with academic staff from Russian Department and the director of the Institute of the Humanities. It was a good occasion to exchange experience about teaching methods and education problems.
