The strategy for the participation of Higher Vocational State School in Wloclawek in the Socrates-Erasmus Programme in the years 2007-2013 involves establishing cooperation with new partners, including schools in the countries which became EU members on 1st January 2007. The school intends to expand its activities concerning student, academic teacher and other staff exchange, which will enable the school to become part of the European educational area. Another priority relating to the Socrates-Erasmus Programme is concerned with our students' internship and professional training abroad. To accomplish this, Higher Vocational State School in Wloclawek will maintain cooperation with institutions and companies in various European countries that it has already established links with. The school will also attempt to establish cooperation with new partners. The school intends to organize both short holiday student training sessions and longer half-year and one-year professional internship and training sessions. This will help the school to achieve the objective to assist students in entering the labour market and planning their professional development. The completion of tasks related to the expansion of student and teacher exchange as well as student professional training abroad will proceed gradually and will be based on the already acquired experience and on further participation in the programme. Since many of the academic teachers employed by the school are experienced in international cooperation projects, the school is going to participate in multilateral projects and thematic networks. Higher Vocational State School in Wloclawek offers postgraduate studies and takes part in the University of the Third Age project initiated by the municipal authorities. Therefore, another priority of the school is to engage in lifelong learning programmes, in particular in linguistic projects for adults and professionals. In the future, the school will continue to publicize its activities within the Socrates-Erasmus Programme in the local media, i.e. television, radio, press, and its own website. All the publications associated with the programme, including publicity materials, will be marked with its logo and name. The Erasmus Charter and the Erasmus Policy Statement will be displayed on the boards devoted to international cooperation and the Socrates-Erasmus Programme and on the school website. The school also intends to promote the programme by means of organizing Erasmus Days with the participation of the Socrates National Agency representatives, student and teacher participants of the programme as well as foreign students visiting Higher Vocational State School in Wloclawek within the framework of the programme. All the incoming programme beneficiaries, including disabled ones, will be encouraged to engage in the school activities in order to facilitate their integration with the local community and to promote social and cultural cohesion. As all the buildings belonging to Higher Vocational State School in Wloclawek have facilities for disabled people, the handicapped can fully participate in all sorts of activities in the school. The school enables the visiting students to integrate with the student community by means of offering accommodation in the school hall of residence.
